How SendRepute Analyzes Your Email Content
Learn how SendRepute analyzes your email content before you send. Understand our review process, probabilistic spam classification, and system limits.
SendRepute helps you analyze, review, edit, and re-check email content before sending. Our system inspects the sender name, subject line, body text, links, formatting, and HTML signals to estimate spam risk. This analysis helps identify elements that receiving providers might view as suspicious. The result is an analysis based on contextual evidence, helping you resolve spam signals and prepare stronger emails.
What We Inspect and What Results Mean
When you submit a draft, SendRepute evaluates your message's structure and text. We check how your subject line aligns with your body text and look for formatting anomalies or problematic HTML signals. The system highlights areas that commonly trigger filtering algorithms.
If the analysis flags a specific term, treat this as contextual evidence, not a strict banned word verdict. Modern spam filters evaluate the entire message. A suspicious word in a poorly formatted promotional email might be acceptable in a plain text transactional update. The confidence level and detected terms we show (when your account and action permit) provide content analysis to guide your manual review. Resolving these signals helps prepare stronger emails.
The Review and Edit Process
To improve your content, follow this cycle for every campaign:
- Analyze: Submit your draft for a baseline classification and confidence estimate. This highlights immediate structural and textual risks.
- Review: Examine flagged terms, HTML signals, and link warnings in context. Consider if a flagged phrase is necessary or sounds unnatural.
- Edit: Manually edit your text to address warnings. You can apply safe HTML corrections to fix broken tags or use optional AI rewriting tools to generate alternative phrasing. These tools help you generate clearer content; you must verify that the revised text maintains your intended meaning and tone.
- Re-check: Run the updated draft through the analyzer again to see if the estimated classification improves. Repeat until satisfied.
Practical Pre-send Checklist
Before finalizing your campaign, verify these core elements:
- Check your sender name for clarity and consistency with your brand.
- Verify your subject line accurately reflects the body text without deceptive phrasing.
- Review flagged words to confirm they fit the context naturally and provide clear value.
- Validate that all links point to reputable, functioning destinations and avoid URL shorteners.
- Run a final test using our Spam Checker Guide.
- Review your overall strategy in our Deliverability Guide guide.
- Monitor your sender history through our Sender Reputation resources.
System Limits and Technical Boundaries
The content classifier analyzes content only, not live DNS or blacklists. Separate Domain Check reads live public DNS and five selected public threat-intelligence sources; it is not a comprehensive check of all DNSBLs or private-provider blocklists. The classifier and builder do not send email. SendRepute Campaigns sends via your own connected provider; SendRepute is not a hosted SMTP delivery service. No tool changes your DNS settings. We cannot manage your domain infrastructure.
Content is only one part of email delivery. Technical authentication is equally critical but falls outside our content inspection scope. You must configure your own domain records to prove your identity. For technical standards on domain authentication, consult the DMARC RFC 7489 and the IETF DMARC RFC record. Additionally, major inbox providers enforce strict sender requirements beyond content. Review the Gmail sender guidelines to understand how authentication, user consent, and spam rates impact your overall inbox placement.
